Half Day Hire is available either between 8 am and Noon or 1 pm and 5 pm Reduced rates apply for the hire however collision damage waiver is still charged at the full day rate if taken. Half Days are only available Monday to Friday
We operate a Mileage limit of 150 Miles a day on European Travel only excess mileage is charged at £0.15 a mile

All of our vehicles supplied are current models and comprehensively insured together with 24-hour AA/RAC emergency roadside assistance so you can be assured of the quality of reliability or level of service that J&R Car & Van Hire offers.
Terms of hire:
- Charge period starts at 8.00am for a 24-hour period
- A deposit of £250 is pre authorised on the drivers card
- Late return: All hirers must return during the above charge period. If not, you will incur a charge of £40 for every hour thereafter until the daily rate is exceeded
- Driving licence: All drivers must produce a full driving licence, registered at their current address, held for 3 years and have no more than six endorsement points
- Age limits: Minimum age is 21 years. A vehicle over 3500kgs GVW (gross vehicle weight) . Maximum age is 79 years (subject to licence restrictions)
- Motoring offences, fines and congestion charges will be charged to the hirer with a £40 administration fee plus VAT
- Additional drivers: You are allowed two additional drivers. Please call for prices and terms
- Comprehensive insurance cover is included with an excess applying
- Foreign travel: A £10 surcharge is applied to the daily rate. Please call for details
- Negligent damage tyres, punctures, blowouts, glass and condition of the vehicle including over-cab damage is the responsibility of the hirer
- Cancellation charge: Bookings cancelled within 5 days of the start time will be penalised 50% of the hire value. If cancelled within two days, the penalty is 75% of the hire value. Cancelled on the start day or no-show will incur the full value of the hire
- Payment terms: By credit or debit card only
- Rates include hire, comprehensive insurance cover, breakdown and relay cover. VAT included
